Best Day Ever

This summer I'll be going to Warped Tour, warped tour is a touring music festival. There are more than 50 bands playing and I really like most of those bands. This year my favorite band (Falling In Reverse) is not playing but other bands that I really like will play including Black Veil Brides. BVB is a band from Cincinnati, they are a really good band and it'll be my first time seeing them.
This will be my first time going to Warped Tour because last year I could not go because my mom decided to go to El Salvador and we left a few days before the date I was able to go. I've been looking forward to go to this festival since I was really young but my Mom always said I was too young to go; like every other festival there are many things to have in mind, if it's your first time going to warped tour you might want to know what to expect. I was talking to my friend the other day, it'll be his 5th year going to warped so he gave me some tips on how to survive warped tour:

  • Get early to Warped Tour early (you don't want to wait an hour to get in)
  • Wear appropriate clothes (no black because it'll be hot outside)
  • Bring water (you don't want to get dyhidrate)
  • Bring enough money (to buy merch and food)
  • Check out the bands schedule
  • Be carefull with the mosh pits
This are some really important tips to follow for more info go to Vanswarpedtour.com

Mitch Lucker's Quote

"Keep listening to music, 'cause it gets you trough everything, I promise" - Mitch Lucker
Mitch Luker said this quote in one of his concerts, he was the lead singer of metal band "Suicide Silence". Mitch was and it still is an inspiration to many people, he was one of those guys that you just can't hate or dislike. He cared about his family and fans so much but like a human being he had issues and he learn to become a better person with music, he grew up making music and died making music and that's how all of his fans will remember him like that strong person that taught us that no matter what was going on in our lives we could always turn to music and work things out.
This quote is my favorites and have proved to myself that it is true, I don't know where I'll he without music. I listen to all kind of music genres but my favorite is Rock; many people believe that people who listen to rock "worship the devil" and many crazy things like that, but the truth is that some of them are the nicest people, and have gone trough a lot of things and like me they find a way to escape reality in those lyrics and melodies.  Music is there for me whenever I need it, I can just go turn it on and listen to it all day until I feel better, it's inspiration and it gives hope.
I also loves to make music just sit in my room relax and play guitar is the best feeling no matter what mood I am it always is a great way to relax.

Wake Me Up When September Ends

Wake me up when September ends is my all time favorite Green Day song, the reason why I like this song so much is for the meaning behind it; most of Green Day songs have huge meanings but this one song is about Billie's dad, when he was 10 years old his dad died of cancer. It was really bad times for him and his family since he was really young, he didn't really understood what was going on all he knew was that his dad was gone and he'd never see him again, I can relate to this a lot because my grandpa died when I was really young too I was really close to him since my dad was never around I've always look up to him. I never knew he was sick much less that he was gonna die soon, it's been a couple of years now and I still miss him like it was yesterday, I still wish he was here, he always knew something was wrong even when I didn't say anything somehow he just knew it and always made me feel better. I think no one will ever be as important as he was to me.

Jon Bon Jovi vs Justin Bieber?

In an interview Jon Bon Jovi critics Justin Bieber for being late to his show. Justin Bieber was late to one of his concert in the U.K in March, and the 51 year old rock star decided to let the world know what he thinks about the pop star behavior “Do it once, you can be forgiven. Do it enough times and shame on you. They won’t have you back. Then it just becomes a cliché. It’s really not cool – you’re an a*****e” - and he kept going on and on about it.

Jon, has been late to some of his shows, just like a lot of other musicians, and he apologized to his fans many times for those incidents, what makes Jon mad about Justin Bieber is that he was late for over 40 minutes “They run the risk of disrespecting their audience members who have worked hard to pay for their ticket, to give you the permission to take two or three hours of their lives — or in that kid’s case, 80 minutes of their lives.” and well no one really wants Bieber back in the U.K at least not for a while. After his rant about Justin Bieber being late to shows he talked about Richie Sambora, who won’t be touring with the band anymore, Jon didn't really talk about the reasons why Richie was pulled out of the tour but he hinted that it might be for the same reason as in 2011, alcoholism problems.

Have no plans for the summer? Well I can help you with that; House of Blues 20th anniversary presents HollywoodUndead. Alternative Press "My Chemical Romance" Issue

On Friday March 22, after 12 years of being together and 4 amazing albums the alternative rock band, My Chemical Romance announced a breakup. The news were very unexpected since early this year the band announced to be working on their new album. It's so sad to hear such a great band won't be making anymore music; but to Gerard Way (former lead singer) his career does not stop there, he will continued making music. In the new issue of Alternative Press, that it's also celebrating its 300th issue, Gerard talks about My Chemical Romance, he talks about what an amazing experience he had all those years of touring and meeting so many different people from different countries. He also talks about his private life, and what his fans can expect next; maybe a new album? Well he something is for sure, he isn't going solo. He also talks about his brother and why My Chemical Romance wasn't an inspiration to him and the rest of the members anymore. The issue also involves the very first AP article about MCR, struggles, addictions, and how they became that band that saved so many lives. The end of My Chemical Romance is the beginning of a new chapter not only for the members of the band but also for their fans.

Introduction...

Hello, my name is Yancy and I'm 17 years old, I’m Hispanic and I go to Diamond Oaks it's a vocational school and I'm in Health tech. the reason why I chose that program is because I like to help people, and also I want to be a Pediatrician so I thought that program was a great way to start my career.
My life revolves around music, soccer, and art. This blog will be based on Rock bands, to me some of those bands are not just bands they mean a lot. They help people with their music and it makes them feel better about themselves. Some people struggle with their life and their music gives them hope that things do get better. I also love tattoos and piercings; hopefully I'll get my first tattoo this summer :). I like to play guitar, read books, go to concerts and meet the band members. Music is the biggest obsession I've ever had.
