On Friday March 22, after 12 years of
being together and 4 amazing albums the alternative rock band, My Chemical Romance announced a breakup. The news were very unexpected since early this
year the band announced to be working on their new album. It's so sad to hear
such a great band won't be making anymore music; but to Gerard Way (former lead
singer) his career does not stop there, he will continued making music. In the
new issue of Alternative Press, that it's also celebrating its 300th issue,
Gerard talks about My Chemical Romance, he talks about what an amazing
experience he had all those years of touring and meeting so many different
people from different countries. He also talks about his private life, and what
his fans can expect next; maybe a new album? Well he something is for sure, he
isn't going solo. He also talks about his brother and why My Chemical Romance
wasn't an inspiration to him and the rest of the members anymore. The issue
also involves the very first AP article about MCR, struggles, addictions, and
how they became that band that saved so many lives. The end of My Chemical
Romance is the beginning of a new chapter not only for the members of the band
but also for their fans.
